Stand Together Contra Costa

Stand Together Contra Costa is a rapid response, legal services, and community education program to support safety and justice for immigrant families in Contra Costa County.  An innovative partnership between Contra Costa County, philanthropy, and community-based organizations, Stand Together Contra Costa provides culturally competent, no-cost rapid response support, legal defense services, and immigrant rights education and training to support families impacted by anti-immigrant policies and practices affecting Contra Costa County residents.

The mission of Stand Together Contra Costa is to ensure that all people in Contra Costa County, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay, are afforded the rights established by the United States Constitution, and are protected from actions or policies that result in disparate, discriminatory, or unlawful treatment.

SAFE Center

A place to connect, learn, and belong.

The Services and Access for Everyone Center (SAFE Center) is a place where immigrants and non-immigrants can visit to build community, access services, and learn more about resources in Contra Costa County. Built by immigrants, the Center is a place where everyone is welcomed and included.

The Concord Immigrant Protections Network (CIPN)

CIPN was created in response to ICE raids and heightened anti-immigrant rhetoric around the country. We are building this network to be prepared in case of any escalation that would target immigrants in central Contra Costa County

Initiatives:

ICE watch- Keep an eye out for ICE as community members attend their Immigration Court hearings and/or around Concord. Distribute whistle kits to the community.

Business Outreach- Let businesses know their workers' rights in the event of ICE raids.

Food Distribution- Make sure neighbors are fed and nourished. Volunteer in person every Monday from 6-7 pm or donate.

Adopt a Corner- Stand with day laborers! Ice out of Home Depot.

Safe Ride Program- Ride program to and from the Immigration Court in Concord.
